Philadelphia County Divorce Records
Divorce records in Philadelphia County are documents generated when a married couple undergoes the dissolution of their marriage. Divorce records contain the initial petition, settlement agreements, the divorce decree, and the identity of both parties. Divorce cases are heard by the Family Court Division of the Philadelphia County Court of Common Pleas.
Divorce dockets are generally public, but access to the full record is often limited to parties in the case. Parties to the case can access or obtain a copy of the divorce record over the counter at the Clerk of Family Court's Office. Requesters must provide the case number or, if unknown, the names of the spouses at the time of divorce and the approximate year the divorce was filed.
